Situation

Solution

Malfunction light sensor

Check for light sensor related errors and resolve these first.

24V power cut during laser test

Ensure that all PSU are working properly. Check for 24V related errors and resolve these first.

The projector can operate but the light path is probably not correctly adjusted. Laser test fail due to a too low light output.

Realign the optical light path step by step. Start with the light pipe, then the corner blocks and then the beam combiner. See service procedures "Light Pipe" and "Adjustment of the Beam Combiner".

The projector is in error mode and cannot startup due to too many failing lasers.

  1. Ensure that all laser drivers are properly connected. Look for laser driver communication errors and resolve these first.

  2. Too much individual lasers are failing. Check for errors which could be the cause of the lasers to fail.

  3. See projector log files to identify the laser cluster which has malfunction lasers. Replace the impacted laser cluster(s). See service chapter "Replacement process of a Laser Cluster".

All laser tests (red, green and blue) are failing. Damaged optical components in the Light Pipe.

  1. Remove the cover of the Light Pipe and check for broken or burned optical components. The most critical components are:

    1. Light Pipe Pre-Rod Prism

    2. Light Pipe Pre-Rod Diffuser

    3. Light Pipe Pre-Rod

    4. Light Pipe Rod Diffuser

    5. Light Pipe Rod

  2. Remove the Corner Block Mirror and check the mirror.

Not all laser tests are failing. Damaged optical components inside the Beam Combiner.

Replace the Beam Combiner. See service chapter "Replacement process for the Single/Dual Beam Combiner".
