Blue taillight: This is a maintenance message. The color performance of the projector is slightly reduced (not noticeable). The show can go on.

Re-calibration needed to bring the projector back to DCI colors. See Communicator user guide for detailed calibration instructions.

Yellow taillight: This is a warning message. Some lasers of a certain color are failing. This has small impact on color performance and/or brightness but the show can go on.

See projector log files to identify the laser cluster which has malfunction lasers. Replace the impacted laser cluster(s). See service chapter "Replacement process of a Laser Cluster".

Decision tree:

1. Replace every cluster for which the cluster warning level is exceeded.

2. Rank the clusters from more to less “failed” lasers.

3. Replace clusters starting from the ones that have more failed lasers.

   1. If multiple clusters have an equal amount of failed lasers start with replacing only 1.

      • Best practice might be to replace the one with the longest runtime.

Red taillight: This is an error message. Multiple lasers of a certain color are failing. The projector cannot start up!

1. Check first for other errors which could be the cause of the lasers failing.

2. See projector log files to identify the laser cluster which has malfunction lasers. Replace the impacted laser cluster(s). See service chapter "Replacement process of a Laser Cluster".
