Group code f-e-e2e23d8d6c-: “laser driver <X> serial communication fail”

Note

The parameter <X> in the group code description corresponds with the cluster driver identification in the error code description (e.g. X = R-C1-D1 → RED channel, Cluster No. 1, Driver No. 1). See error codes in diagnostic window in Communicator to know which value is represented by X. To know the physical location of the cluster driver see service manual chapter "Location of the main components of the projector".

Situation

Solution

Bad connection between laser driver board, fuse board and LCB.

  1. Check data connection (e.g. reference 1 image and e.g. reference 2 image) between all busbar fuse boards and laser driver boards inside the sealed laser compartment.

  2. Check if all data connections (e.g. reference 3 image) between the busbar fuse boards inside the sealed laser compartment.

  3. Check data connection, outside the sealed laser compartment, between the busbar fuse board (reference 6 image) and the Laser Control Board (reference 7 image)

Malfunction laser driver

Replace the laser cluster X. See service chapter "Replacement process of a Laser Cluster".
