Situation

Solution

power supply Busbar 24V output voltage too low

  1. Check for interlock errors and resolve these first. See error codes and related troubleshooting checklist.

  2. Check if the large fans near by the LCB are working. If not proceed with next solution.

  3. Check connections between LCB and Busbar Fuse board on the outer side of the Mid assembly (just above rear side of power rack. See reference 4 of image and image. To access the Busbar Fuse board the small service cover has to be removed. See procedure "Removal of the laser compartment".

  4. Remove one PSU and check if the problem persist. Case no, replace the removed PSU with a new PSU. Case yes, insert the PSU and remove another one, and so on ...

  5. Check connections between LCB and Laser Safety Relay. See reference 6 of image and image.

  6. Check for short circuit on the Busbar assemblies.

power supply local 5V output voltage too low

Malfunction ++5V power circuitry on the Laser Control board. Replace Laser Control board. See service procedure "Replacement of the Laser Control Board (LCB)".

power supply main +12V output voltage too low

  1. Measure voltage on the LCB power input connector J300 pin 7 (image).

    1. If +12V replace the LCB. See service procedure "Replacement of the Laser Control Board (LCB)".

    2. If not +12V disconnect the plug from connector J300 and measure the voltage again. If +12V replace the LCB. If not +12V proceed with next step.

  2. Measure voltage on the Signal Backplane power connector J700 pin 1 (image).

    1. If +12V check wire between SMPS and LCB (reference 17 image and image). Ensure wire is correctly connected with both boards. Repair or replace wire if damaged.

    2. If not +12V replace the SMPS. See service procedure "Replacement of the SMPS board".

  3. If problem persist, replace the Signal Backplane. See service procedure "Replacement process of the Signal Backplane".

  1. Check circuit breaker of Laser Safety Relay (reference 20 image).

  2. Check power supply of the Laser Safety Relay. Replace if malfunction. See service procedure "Replacement of the Laser Safety Power Supply".

  3. Check Laser Safety Relay status LEDs. If not OK, replace the Laser Safety Relay. See service procedure "Replacement of the Laser Safety Relay".

  4. Check connections between LCB and Laser Safety Relay. See reference 6 of image and image.
