Code ANA06V12M: “the main +12v voltage of the elca box is low”

Situation

Solution

power supply main +12V output voltage too low

  1. Measure voltage on the LCB power input connector J300 pin 7 (reference 17 image).

    1. If +12V reseat the CCB first, if problem persist replace the CCB. See service manual chapter "Replacement of the Cinema Controller".

    2. If not +12V disconnect the plug from connector J300 and measure the voltage on the plug again. If +12V replace the LCB (Short circuit on the LCB is pulling down the +12V). See service procedure "Replacement of the Laser Control Board (LCB)". If not +12V proceed with next step.

  2. Measure voltage on the Signal Backplane power connector J700 pin 1 (reference 6 image).

    1. If +12V reseat the CCB and check power cabling between LCB and Signal Backplane.

    2. If not +12V replace the SMPS. See service procedure "Replacement of the SMPS board".

  3. If problem persist, check for short circuit.

  4. If problem persist, replace the Signal Backplane. See service procedure "Replacement process of the Signal Backplane".
