Code 5285: “ambient- temperature sensor short” (Error)

Situation

Solution

Damaged insulation of the wire unit of the ambient temperaturesensor (reference A ) causinga short circuit.

  1. Repair the insulation of the wire unit using shrink sleeve.

  2. If not repairable, replace the whole wire unit and temperaturesensor.

Defect temperature sensor (reference A ). When disconnecting the wire unit ofthe temperature sensor from the power backplane (reference B ) the error code is changed to “ambient- temperature sensor open”.

Replace the temperature sensor.

Malfunction Fan & Motor Control board.

Replace the Fan & Motor Control board.

Malfunction Power Backplane.

Replace the Power Backplane.
