Code 5285: “ambient- temperature sensor short” (Error)

Situation

Solution

Damaged insulation of the wire unit of the ambient temperaturesensor (reference A) causinga short circuit.

  1. Repair the insulation of the wire unit using shrink sleeve.

  2. If not repairable, replace the whole wire unit and temperaturesensor.

Defect temperature sensor (reference A). When disconnecting the wire unit ofthe temperature sensor from the power backplane (reference B) the error code is changed to “ambient- temperature sensor open”.

Replace the temperature sensor.

Malfunction Fan & Motor Control board.

Replace the Fan & Motor Control board.

Malfunction Power Backplane.

Replace the Power Backplane.
